4834e21162 Make sure avctx->codec_type and codec_id are set, since libavcodec 
currently requires that.
That probably is an unintended API change and should be fixed/reverted
in lavc but it hurts little to workaround here.

d5d5bbbb35 Always keep a backup of the expand values from the command-line, so values 
will be recalculated correctly e.g. after aspect change and -vf expand=aspect=4/3
command line.

a04ec2484b Add a giant hack to the x264 encoder module to ensure all delayed frames are 
written on FLUSH_FRAMES, this is necessary since using multiple threads adds
an additional delay beyond the B-frame delay.

17eaff1a38 replace "g" asm constraint by "erm" since "g" allows 64bit immediates while 
the operator (cmp) using the "g"-constrained operand doesn't support 64bit

49e2373fe7 Consistently use MP_MAX_PLANES as size for plane pointer/stride arrays in libmpcodecs. 
This might avoid some issues since sws_scale in some cases assumes these
have at least 4 valid entries.

1002389056 Create a set_format_params function that sets all the special options needed 
for XvMC/VDPAU acceleration in a single place.
This should get closer to working with selecting acceleration via pix_fmt instead
of via a special codec for each method.

35fc0ebf3f Set time_base to 1/samplerate, like FFmpeg does, instead of leaving it at the 
default 0/1. This is not required by a lot of codecs, but at least by libvorbis.

60fa5a134d Add VOCAP_NOSLICES and use it to allow vo_vdpau to not support slices for 
YV12 - since VDPAU only has functions to upload the full frame at once
there is no sense in supporting draw_slice for that.

bdfef5ff39 Print an error and return NULL in vf_get_image if we try to allocate 
a format with bpp == 0, since this can not work.
This way at least we crash earlier and print an error message.

8e5edec13e Set avctx->opaque already at init instead of decode so it can be used in 
get_format and get_buffer would not crash if called during avcodec_open.

f78c49e030 Add MP_IMGTYPE_NUMBERED which gives access to the kind of mp_image_t that

1a089681fc vf_palette: Fix compilation after libswscale API changes 
Patch from Guillaume Poirier. I didn't test the functionality of the
filter but at least it fixes compilation.

4722fa0b82 IWMMXT optimizations were removed from our internal libmpeg2 copy, so now 
remove it from the library interface code as well.

26b29f4f2d Replace all occurrences of '__volatile__' and '__volatile' by plain 'volatile'. 
We were using an inconsistent mix of the three variants and 'volatile' should
be the most correct and portable variant.

6b52a2e974 Change all occurrences of asm and __asm to __asm__, same as was done for FFmpeg. 
Neither variant is valid C99 syntax, but __asm__ is the most portable variant.

526cfa28a2 Remove word size check and macro and use __WORDSIZE directly instead. 
It has been done this way in libswscale for years without apparent ill effect.

923f67082e Fix compilation after libavcodec major version 52 changes 
Some symbols were dropped or renamed, requiring corresponding changes
in MPlayer.
 - Use AVCodecContext->bits_per_coded_sample instead of ->bits_per_sample.
 - Use AVCodecContext->trellis instead of ->flags&CODEC_FLAG_TRELLIS_QUANT.
 - Don't set AVCodecContext->rtp_mode (already marked unused before).
 - Use ff_eval2() instead of ff_eval().

cf8d381255 Try to keep decoded audio buffer aligned. 
Seems to be enough to avoid crashes (due to unaligned SSE2) with FFmpeg vorbis decoding for now.

4366cc211c Simplify ad_msadpmc.c: Use AV_RL16, merge sign extension into LE_16 read and 
use (int16_t) to let the compiler do the sign extension.
Reduces code size on x86_64, gcc 4.3.1 by 248 bytes.
