David Sterba 1d0fa3781e btrfs-progs: build: make libudev selectable
Previously the build would be optional based on what is installed on the
system. Add an option to make this selectable by user, ie. to allow
build without libudev even if it is installed on the system.

For most users and distros libudev dependency should be ok, but we've
had requests to disable various features (embedded, systems with
non-systemd user space base system) so let's do the same.

David Sterba d4b4baf312 btrfs-progs: build: note minimal version for zoned support
The configure phase can detect the following:

- no /usr/include/blkzoned.h - no zoned support possible
- usable /usr/include/blkzoned.h - on by default
- present /usr/include/blkzoned.h but unusable due to missing struct
  members or ioctl defintion

Case 3 could be confusing, so document the requirements.

David Sterba eb84891443 btrfs-progs: build: note about 32bit build on 64bit host
Notes for making it work:

- "CFLAGS=-m32 LDFLAGS=-m32 ./configure ..." passes the right flags
everywhere, otherwise just passing it by EXTRA_CFLAGS/EXTRA_LDFLAGS
might miss some binaries or libraries

- note that passing CFLAGS/LDFLAGS to configure will override the
  default flags

- libbtrfsutil and python bindings require to pass the -m32 flags via
  EXTRA_PYTHON_CFLAGS/EXTRA_PYTHON_LDFLAGS

- all the e2fsprogs, zlib, lzo, util-linux etc need packaging changes to
provide static libraries - usually frowned upon by distribution unless
justified, even less so for static + 32bit versions, very niche
  use case

David Sterba 98a88aec64 btrfs-progs: INSTALL: update build dependencies
Add the specific libmount version that has the required functions,
though it still fails to build on CentOS 7 and similar. The libmount
dependency could be dropped in the future but for now at least document
it.

David Sterba 82464a03e7 btrfs-progs: add more hash implementation providers
For environments that require certified implementations of cryptographic
primitives allow to select a library providing them. The requirements
are SHA256 and BLAKE2 (with the 2b variant and 256 bit digest).

For now there are two: libgrcrypt and libsodium (openssl does not
provide the BLAKE2b-256). Accellerated versions are typically provided
and automatically selected.

Omar Sandoval 23c01b3c1b libbtrfsutil: add Python bindings
The C libbtrfsutil library isn't very useful for scripting, so we also
want bindings for Python. Writing unit tests in Python is also much
easier than doing so in C. Only Python 3 is supported; if someone really
wants Python 2 support, they can write their own bindings. This commit
is just the scaffolding.

David Sterba f79008960b btrfs-progs: build: require libzstd support by default
The kernel 4.14 supports zstd, for version parity the btrfs-progs now
require libzstd by default. This can still be disabled by
  ./configure --disable-zstd.

Nick Terrell 717a8b1e5d btrfs-progs: Add zstd support
Adds zstd support to the btrfs program. An optional dependency on libzstd
>= 1.0.0 is added. Autoconf accepts `--enable-zstd' or `--disable-zstd' and
defaults to detecting if libzstd is present using `pkg-config'.

The patch is also available in my fork of btrfs-progs [1], which passes
Travis-CI with the new tests. The prebuilt binary is available there.

I haven't updated Android.mk.

David Sterba ab5984ff6c btrfs-progs: convert: drop dependency on sys/acl.h
The file sys/acl.h is part of libacl and if the development package is
not installed, build of btrfs-convert fails.

We do not link against libacl nor use the functions provided by libacl. The
ACL_* values are directly read from the extN data, so it's more part of the
on-disk format rather than an interface to libacl.

The dependency on libacl is completely dropped.

Goffredo Baroncelli f243fcd1b2 Removing btrfsctl, btrfs-vol, btrfs-show
With the commit 002d021c (committed October 2011)
btrfsctl, btrfs-vol, btrfs-show were declared deprecated.
The last patches related to these commands are dated December 2010.

These tools are replaced by the "btrfs" tool in all the
functionality.

This commit removes all the related code.

Goffredo Baroncelli 87d3875d4e Update/clean up btrfs help and man page V2
Hi all,

enclose you can find a patch which improves the help of the btrfs commands,
updates the INSTALL file and the btrfs (command) man page.

Regarding the help of the btrfs command:
- moved the "subvolume set-default" command in the "subvolume" commands group
- removed a wrong new line
- small tweak on the basis of Andreas suggestion

Regarding the btrfs command man page:
- renaming the command "device balance" in "filesystem balance" (thanks to
Andreas Phillipp to highlight that)
- adding the entry "subvolume find-new"
- document the switches of the command "filesystem defrag"
- document the <devid> facility of the command "filesystem resize"
- small tweak on the basis of Andreas suggestion

Regarding the INSTALL file, which was very old, I removed the reference of the
old btrfsctl utility and changed the examples using the btrfs command.
I removed the old (and now wrong) statement about the inability to delete a
subvolume/snapshot

Chris, you can pull the patch from the branch "help_cleanup" of the following
repository.

http://cassiopea.homelinux.net/git/btrfs-progs-unstable.git

(or you can browse the changes at
http://cassiopea.homelinux.net/git/btrfs-progs-unstable.git/?p=btrfs-
progs-unstable-all.git;a=summary)

The patch is very simple: only updates the man page, the INSTALL file and
moves/updates some lines in the help of btrfs command. Comments are welcome.

Regards
G.Baroncelli
