8071338c78 MINOR: initcall: apply initcall to all register_build_opts() calls
Most register_build_opts() calls use static strings. These ones were
replaced with a trivial REGISTER_BUILD_OPTS() statement adding the string
and its call to the STG_REGISTER section. A dedicated section could be
made for this if needed, but there are very few such calls for this to
be worth it. The calls made with computed strings however, like those
which retrieve OpenSSL's version or zlib's version, were moved to a
dedicated function to guarantee they are called late in the process.
For example, the SSL call probably requires that SSL_library_init()
has been called first.

0108d90c6c MEDIUM: init: convert all trivial registration calls to initcalls
This switches explicit calls to various trivial registration methods for
keywords, muxes or protocols from constructors to INITCALL1 at stage
STG_REGISTER. All these calls have in common to consume a single pointer
and return void. Doing this removes 26 constructors. The following calls
were addressed :

- acl_register_keywords
- bind_register_keywords
- cfg_register_keywords
- cli_register_kw
- flt_register_keywords
- http_req_keywords_register
- http_res_keywords_register
- protocol_register
- register_mux_proto
- sample_register_convs
- sample_register_fetches

79e57336b5 REORG: http: move the code to different files
The current proto_http.c file is huge and contains different processing
domains making it very difficult to work on an alternative representation.
This commit moves some parts to other files :

  - ACL registration code => http_acl.c
    This code only creates some ACL mappings and doesn't know anything
    about HTTP nor about the representation. This code could even have
    moved to acl.c but it was not worth polluting it again.

  - HTTP sample conversion => http_conv.c
    This code doesn't depend on the internal representation but definitely
    manipulates some HTTP elements, such as dates. It also has access to
    captures.

  - HTTP sample fetching => http_fetch.c
    This code does depend entirely on the internal representation but is
    totally independent on the analysers. Placing it into a different
    file will ease the transition to the new representation and the
    creation of a wrapper if required. An include file was created due
    to CHECK_HTTP_MESSAGE_FIRST() being used at various places.

  - HTTP action registration => http_act.c
    This code doesn't directly interact with the messages nor the
    transaction but it does so via some exported http functions like
    http_replace_req_line() or http_set_status() so it will be easier
    to change only this after the conversion.

  - a few very generic parts were found and moved to http.{c,h} as
    relevant.

It is worth noting that the functions moved to these new files are not
referenced anywhere outside of the files and are only called as registered
callbacks, so these files do not even require associated include files.

83061a820e MAJOR: chunks: replace struct chunk with struct buffer
Now all the code used to manipulate chunks uses a struct buffer instead.
The functions are still called "chunk*", and some of them will progressively
move to the generic buffer handling code as they are cleaned up.

843b7cbe9d MEDIUM: chunks: make the chunk struct's fields match the buffer struct
Chunks are only a subset of a buffer (a non-wrapping version with no head
offset). Despite this we still carry a lot of duplicated code between
buffers and chunks. Replacing chunks with buffers would significantly
reduce the maintenance efforts. This first patch renames the chunk's
fields to match the name and types used by struct buffers, with the goal
of isolating the code changes from the declaration changes.

Most of the changes were made with spatch using this coccinelle script :

e8ca434074 MINOR: threads: Don't start when device a detection module is used
For now, we don't know if device detection modules (51degrees, deviceatlas and
wurfl) are thread-safe or not. So HAproxy exits with an error when you try to
use one of them with nbthread greater than 1.

We will ask to maintainers of these modules to make them thread-safe or to give
us hints to do so.

The warning appears when building with 51Degrees release that uses a new
Hash Trie algorithm (release version 3.2.12.12):

b7a671477f CLEANUP: 51d: move global settings out of the global section
We replaced global._51degrees with global_51degrees since there's no need
to store all this into the global section. This removes the last #ifdefs,
and now the code is 100% self-contained in 51d.c. The file 51d.h was now
removed because it was only used to load 51Degrees.h, which is more easily
loaded from 51d.c. It provides a good example of how to integrate code in
the future without touching the core parts.

7ac4c20509 CLEANUP: 51d: register the deinitialization function
deinit_51degrees() is not called anymore from haproxy.c, removing
2 #ifdefs and one include. The function was made static. The include
file still includes 51Degrees.h which is needed by global.h and 51d.c
so it was not touched beyond this last function removal.

9f3f2549fb CLEANUP: 51d: make use of the late init registration
This removes some #ifdefs from the main haproxy code path. Function
init_51degrees() now returns ERR_* instead of exit(1) on error, and
this function was made static and is not exported anymore.

1f077ebff2 BUILD/MAJOR:updated 51d Trie implementation to incorperate latest update to 51Degrees.c
Trie now uses a dataset structure just like Pattern, so this has been
defined in includes/types/global.h for both Pattern and Trie where it
was just Pattern.
In src/51d.c all functions used by the Trie implementation which need a
dataset as an argument now use the global dataset. The
fiftyoneDegreesDestroy method has now been replaced with
fiftyoneDegreesDataSetFree which is common to Pattern and Trie. In
addition, two extra dataset init status' have been added to the switch
statement in init_51degrees.

02779b6263 CLEANUP: uniformize last argument of malloc/calloc
Instead of repeating the type of the LHS argument (sizeof(struct ...))
in calls to malloc/calloc, we directly use the pointer
name (sizeof(*...)). The following Coccinelle patch was used:

3c2f2f207f CLEANUP: remove unneeded casts
In C89, "void *" is automatically promoted to any pointer type. Casting
the result of malloc/calloc to the type of the LHS variable is therefore
unneeded.

Most of this patch was built using this Coccinelle patch:

Unfortunately, either Coccinelle or I is too limited to detect situation
where a complex RHS expression is of type "void *" and therefore casting
is not needed. Those cases were manually examined and corrected.

d3842523ff CLEANUP: 51d: Aligned if statements with HAProxy best practices and removed casts from malloc.
Changes to if statements do not affect code operation, just layout of
the code. Type casts from malloc returns have been removed as this cast
happens automatically from the void* type.

This may be backported to 1.6.

496299a4d5 BUG/MINOR: 51d: Aligned const pointers to changes in 51Degrees.
Parameters provided to 51Degrees methods that have changed to require
const pointers are now cast to avoid compiler warnings.

This should be backported to 1.6.

c9dfa24808 BUG/MINOR: 51d: Aligns Pattern cache implementation with HAProxy best practices.
Malloc continues to be used for the creation of cache entries. The
implementation has been enhanced ready for production deployment. A new
method to free cache entries created in 51d.c has been added to ensure
memory is released correctly.

This should be backported to 1.6.

82a9d76f15 BUG/MINOR: 51d: Ensures a unique domain for each configuration
Args pointer is now used as the LRU cache domain to ensure the cache
distinguishes between multiple fetch and conv configurations.

This should be backported to 1.6.

a28bbd53c4 MAJOR: 51d: Upgraded to support 51Degrees V3.2 and new features
Trie device detection doesn't benefit from caching compared to Pattern.
As such the LRU cache has been removed from the Trie method.

A new fetch  method has been added named 51d.all which uses all the
available HTTP headers for device device detection. The previous 51d
conv method has been changed to 51d.single where one HTTP header,
typically User-Agent, is used for detection. This method is marginally
faster but less accurate.

Three new properties are available with the Pattern method called
Method, Difference and Rank which provide insight into the validity of
the results returned.

A pool of worksets is used to avoid needing to create a new workset for
every request. The workset pool is thread safe ready to support a future
multi threaded version of HAProxy.

I can't test this patch because the avalaible 51degrees library is
"51Degrees-C-3.1.5.2" and HAProxy obviously build with another version
(some defines and symbols disappear).

This patch is provided as-is in best effort.

9373fc5811 MINOR: 51d: unable to start haproxy without "51degrees-data-file"
This patch adds a few checks on "global._51degrees.data_file_path" and allows
haproxy to start even when the pattern or trie data file is not specified.

If the "51d" converter is used, a new function "_51d_conv_check" will check
"global._51degrees.data_file_path" and displays a warning if necessary.

In src/haproxy.c, the global 51Degrees "cache_size" has moved outside of the
FIFTYONEDEGREES_H_PATTERN_INCLUDED ifdef block.

96a0be78ed BUG/MEDIUM: 51d: possible incorrect operations on smp->data.str.str
In src/51d.c, the function _51d_conv(), a final '\0' is added into
smp->data.str.str, which can cause a problem if the SMP_F_CONST flag is
set in smp->flags or if smp->data.str.size is not available.

This patch adds a check on smp->flags and smp->data.str.size, and copies
the smp->data.str.str to another buffer by using smp_dup(). If necessary,
the "const" flag is set after device detection. Also, this patch removes
the unnecessary call to chunk_reset() on temp argument.

105c8e6368 MEDIUM: 51d: add LRU-based cache on User-Agent string detection
This cache is used by 51d converter. The input User-Agent string, the
converter args and a random seed are used as a hashing key. The cached
entries contains a pointer to the resulting string for specific
User-Agent string detection.

The cache size can be tuned using 51degrees-cache-size parameter.

93b38d9191 MEDIUM: 51Degrees code refactoring and cleanup
Moved 51Degrees code from src/haproxy.c, src/sample.c and src/cfgparse.c
into a separate files src/51d.c and include/import/51d.h.

Added two new functions init_51degrees() and deinit_51degrees(), updated
Makefile and other code reorganizations related to 51Degrees.
