26c1dafbf6 btrfs-progs: print-tree: Remove btrfs_root parameter
Just like kernel cleanup made by David, btrfs_print_leaf() and
btrfs_print_tree() doesn't need btrfs_root parameter at all.

With previous patches as preparation, now we can remove the btrfs_root
parameter.

47c694b0f4 btrfs-progs: Unify btrfs_leaf_free_space() parameter with kernel
Instead of struct btrfs_root, use struct btrfs_fs_info, since nodesize
is now a per-fs setting, and with the need to pass a @root, caller don't
need to wonder which root should be passed.

2615aca92c btrfs-progs: ctree: Add extra level check for read_node_slot()
Strangely, we have level check in btrfs_print_tree() while we don't have
the same check in read_node_slot().

That's to say, for the following corruption, btrfs_search_slot() or
btrfs_next_leaf() can return invalid leaf:

Parent eb:
  node XXXXXX level 1
              ^^^^^^^
              Child should be leaf (level 0)
  ...
  key (XXX XXX XXX) block YYYYYY

Child eb:
  leaf YYYYYY level 1
              ^^^^^^^
              Something went wrong now

And for the corrupted leaf returned, later caller can be screwed up
easily.

4665484f5f btrfs-progs: Cleanup use of root in leaf_data_end
In function leaf_data_end, root is just used to get fs_info, so change
the parameter of this function from btrfs_root to btrfs_fs_info.  And
also make it consistent with kernel.

Add const to parameter leaf of function btrfs_item_offset_nr to keep
type consistent with leaf_data_end.

in that case the count of remaining items (nritems - slot - 1) gets
negative. That is then casted to (unsigned long len), which leads to the
observed crash.

Change the tests before the move to handle only the non-corrupted case,
were slow < nritems.

This does not fix the corruption, but allows btrfsck to finish without
crashing.

8690c887d1 btrfs-progs: Refactor read_tree_block to get rid of btrfs_root
The only reasom read_tree_block() needs a btrfs_root parameter is to get
its node/sector size.

And long ago, I have already introduced a compactible interface,
read_tree_block_fs_info() to pass btrfs_fs_info instead of btrfs_root.

Since we have cleaned up all root->sector/node/stripesize users, we
should be OK to refactor read_tree_block() function.

a2203246ae btrfs-progs: Introduce kernel sizes to cleanup large intermediate number
Large numbers like (1024 * 1024 * 1024) may cost reader/reviewer to
waste one second to convert to 1G.

Introduce kernel include/linux/sizes.h to replace any intermediate
number larger than 4096 (not including 4096) to SZ_*.

6f508a01f5 btrfs-progs: Return earlier for previous item
Follow kernel code to return earlier for btrfs_previous_item() function.

Before this patch, btrfs_previous_item() doesn't use its min_objectid to
exit, this makes caller to check key to exit, and if caller doesn't
check, it will iterate all previous item.

This patch will check min_objectid and type, to early return and save
some time.

Nodesize is used in kernel, the values are always equal. We have to keep
leafsize in headers, similarly the tree setting functions still take and
set leafsize, but it's effectively a no-op.

kerncompat.h header file is part of libbtrfs API. min/max macros cause
conflict while building projects dependant on libbtrfs. Moving those

e8a5f57b69 btrfs-progs: Allow btrfs_leaf_free_space to accept NULL root
Btrfs_leaf_free_space() function is used to determine the leaf/node
size.
It's OK to use root->nodesize to determine nodesize, but in fact,
extent_buffer->len can also be used to determine the nodesize if caller
can ensure it's a tree block.

So this patch will add support for NULL root for btrfs_leaf_free_space()
function, to allow btrfs_print_leaf() functions to be called in gdb or
to debug temporary btrfs in make_btrfs() without a valid root.

ccdd0a067f btrfs-progs: read_tree_block() and read_node_slot() cleanup.
Allow read_tree_block() and read_node_slot() to return error pointer.
This should help caller to get more specified error number.

For existing callers, change (!eb) judgmentt to
(!extent_buffer_uptodate(eb)) to keep the compatibility, and for caller
missing the check, use PTR_ERR(eb) if possible.

Import lookup/del_inode_ref() function in inode-item.c, as base functions
for the incoming btrfs_add_link() and btrfs_unlink() functions.

Also modify btrfs_insert_inode_ref() and split_leaf() making them able
to deal with EXTENT_IREF incompat flag.

70749a77fe Btrfs-progs: deal with invalid key orderings and bad orphan items V2
A user had a fs where the objectid of an orphan item was not the actual orphan
item objectid.  This screwed up fsck because the block has keys in the wrong
order, also the fs scanning stuff will freak out because we have an inode with
nlink 0 and no orphan item.  So this patch is pretty big but is all related.

1) Deal with bad key ordering.  We can easily fix this up, so fix the checking
stuff to tell us exactly what it found when it said there was a problem.  Then
if it's bad key ordering we can reorder the keys and restart the scan.

2) Deal with bad keys.  If we find an orphan item with the wrong objectid it's
likely to screw with stuff, so keep track of these sort of things with a
bad_item list and just run through and delete any objects that don't make sense.
So far we just do this for orphan items but we could extend this as new stuff
pops up.

3) Deal with missing orphan items.  This is easy, if we have a file with i_nlink
set to 0 and no orphan item we can just add an orphan item.

4) Add the infrastructure to corrupt actual key values.  Needed this to create a
test image to verify I was fixing things properly.

This patch fixes the corrupt image I'm adding and passes the other make test
tests.  Thanks,

c64485544b Btrfs-progs: keep track of transid failures and fix them if possible
A user was reporting an issue with bad transid errors on his blocks.  The thing
is that btrfs-progs will ignore transid failures for things like restore and
fsck so we can do a best effort to fix a users file system.  So fsck can put
together a coherent view of the file system with stale blocks.  So if everything
else is ok in the mind of fsck then we can recow these blocks to fix the
generation and the user can get their file system back.  Thanks,

19a2e1f461 btrfs-progs: fix shadow symbols
This fixes all the instances of warnings that symbols declared in blocks
shadow symbols with the same name in surrounding scopes:

 cmds-device.c:341:22: warning: symbol 'path' shadows an earlier one
 cmds-device.c:285:14: originally declared here

I just renamed or removed the risky shadow symbols instead of pulling
their blocks out into functions.

parameter tree root it's not used since commit
5f39d397dfbe140a14edecd4e73c34ce23c4f9ee ("Btrfs: Create extent_buffer
interface for large blocksizes")

This gets userspace a tad closer to kernelspace by removing
this unused parameter that was all over the codebase...

btrfs_init_path was initially used when the path objects were on the
stack.  Now all the work is done by btrfs_alloc_path and btrfs_init_path
isn't required.

This patch removes it, and just uses kmem_cache_zalloc to zero out the object.

37003d3627 Btrfs-progs: remove some dead/unbuilt code
Remove some commented-out & #if 0'd code:

 * close_blocks()
 * btrfs_drop_snapshot()
 * btrfs_realloc_node()
 * btrfs_find_dead_roots()

There are still some #if 0'd functions in there, but I'm hedging
on those for now, they have been copied to cmds-check.c and I want
to see if they can be brough back into ctree.c eventually.

14b53c0736 Btrfs-progs: move btrfs_fsck_reinit_root to cmds-check.c
cmds-check.c contains the only caller of btrfs_fsck_reinit_root;
moving it to the caller's source file gets ctree.c a little
closer to kernelspace, although it does require exporting
add_root_to_dirty_list(), which is not done in kernelspace.
