Executing the script inside the directories as './test.sh' is not
supposed to work but could happen accidentally. With an exit after
attempting to source the we can fix that.

Cleanups done separately:
* use the default test image, loop devices not needed for the test
* trim TEST_MNT from all paths
* send output is created inside the test filesystem
