075f147cef btrfs-progs: preload libbtrfs for libbtrfs-test
The libbtrfs-test simulated build happens outside of the source
repository, but sometimes the system library is used instead of the repo
one. When -rpath does not work, force the correct library by LD_PRELOAD.

c15c559f54 btrfs-progs: build: add missing symbols to libbtrfs
Several people reported build breakage of snapper, due to missing
symbols in libbtrfs.so. Move the objects to the library objects, now we
don't have to worry about the new exports as the libbtrfs.sym is
unchanged. And there are no new .h files being exported though there are
the .o files in the library.

c618f46222 btrfs-progs: libbtrfs: add list of exported symbols
The shared library exports many functions that are not supposed to be
public, like rb-tree, crc32c or internal helpers but as this has been
potentially in use we should at least make a list. There's only a
subset being used by the snapper project.

Export majority of current symbols visible in libbtrfs so any future
additions to libbtrfs objects are automatically hidden and don't pollute
the namespace further.

Note that all projects should switch to libbtrfsutil rather than
libbtrfs that exists for historical reasons and will be deprecated in
the future.

e2da195a3c btrfs-progs: build: add missing objects to libbtrfs
A user reports that some symbols are missing from libbtrfs, eg.
radix_tree_init. This is correct and there are few more. The headers
exported through the library all need the respective object files.

The sources are GPL so is libbtrfs, which is known

bd4a386ec5 btrfs-progs: build most common tools into one binary (busybox style)
Build several standalone tools into one binary and switch the function
by name (symlink or hardlink).

* btrfs
* mkfs.btrfs
* btrfs-image
* btrfs-convert
* btrfstune

The static target is also supported. The name of resulting boxed
binaries is btrfs.box and btrfs.box.static . All the binaries can be
built at the same time without prior configuration.

3122085a79 btrfs-progs: output formatter infrastructure
Add structures and API for unified output definition and multiple
formatting backends. Currently there's plain text and json.

The format of each row is defined in struct rowspec, selected using a
key and formatted according to the type. There are extended types for
eg. UUID or pretty size, while direct printf format specifiers work too.

Due to different nature of the outputs, the context structure members
are not always used.

* text output mostly uses indentation and formats the name to a given
  width

* json output tracks nesting depth and keeps stack of previous groups
(list or array) and how many member have been printed, as the
separators are allowed only between values and must not preced the
  group closing bracket
the nesting depth is hardcoded to 16, counting the global group

The API provides functions to print simple values and some helpers to
format more complex structures.

f63f29e9e9 btrfs-progs: move internal.h to common/
Create directory for all sources that can be used by anything that's not
rellated to a relevant kernel part, all common functions, helpers,
utilities that do not fit any other specific category.

The traditional location would be probably lib/ with all things that are
statically linked to the main binaries, but we have libbtrfs and
libbtrfsutil so this would be confusing.

33394a9e9d btrfs-progs: build: support per-file CFLAGS located in directories
Our build allows easy definition of CFLAGs that apply only to a given
file, like cmds_restore_cflags and cmds-restore.c .

This is done by series of transformations that convert the file name to
a variable name, when that is defined it's used.

To support files in directories outside of the top level we need to
convert the / too. The function 'subst' supports only a single string,
so they have to be nested.

07cead1a1e btrfs-progs: silence build warning caused by gcc 8 '-Wformat-truncation'
When using gcc8 + glibc 2.28.5 compiles utils.c, it complains as below:

utils.c:852:45: warning: '%s' directive output may be truncated writing
up to 4095 bytes into a region of size 4084 [-Wformat-truncation=]
     snprintf(path, sizeof(path), "/dev/mapper/%s", name);

output between 13 and 4108 bytes into a destination of size 4096

            ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

c6039704c5 btrfs-progs: Add delayed refs infrastructure
This commit pulls those portions of the kernel implementation of
delayed refs which are necessary to have them working in user-space.
I've done the following modifications:

1. Replaced all kmem_cache_alloc calls to kmalloc.

2. Removed all locking-related code, since we are single threaded in
   userspace.

3. Removed code which deals with data refs - delayed refs in user space
are going to be used only for cowonly trees.

GCC releases prior to 4.5.0 don't support -std=gnu90 so btrfs-progs won't

AX_CHECK_COMPILE_FLAG is the right way to do this, but it depends on

502e2a3510 Add libbtrfsutil
Currently, users wishing to manage Btrfs filesystems programatically
have to shell out to btrfs-progs and parse the output. This isn't ideal.
The goal of libbtrfsutil is to provide a library version of as many of
the operations of btrfs-progs as possible and to migrate btrfs-progs to
use it.

Rather than simply refactoring the existing btrfs-progs code, the code
has to be written from scratch for a couple of reasons:

* A lot of the btrfs-progs code was not designed with a nice library API
in mind in terms of reusability, naming, and error reporting.
* libbtrfsutil is licensed under the LGPL, whereas btrfs-progs is under
the GPL, which makes it dubious to directly copy or move the code.

Eventually, most of the low-level btrfs-progs code should either live in
libbtrfsutil or the shared kernel/userspace filesystem code, and
btrfs-progs will just be the CLI wrapper.

This first commit just includes the build system changes, license,
README, and error reporting helper.

e69e015634 btrfs-progs: drop feature defines from C files, in favour of CFLAGS defines
glibc 2.10+ (5+ years old) enables all the desired features:
_XOPEN_SOURCE 700, __XOPEN2K8, POSIX_C_SOURCE, DEFAULT_SOURCE; with a
single _GNU_SOURCE define in the makefile alone. For portability to
other libc implementations (e.g. dietlibc) _XOPEN_SOURCE=700 is also
defined.

This also resolves Debian bug report filed by Michael Tautschnig -
"Inconsistent use of _XOPEN_SOURCE results in conflicting
declarations". Whilst I was not able to reproduce the results, the
reported fact is that _XOPEN_SOURCE set to 500 in one set of files
(e.g. cmds-filesystem.c) generates/defines different struct stat from
other files (cmds-replace.c).

This patch thus cleans up all feature defines, and sets them at a
consistent level.

1cb7bd2f3c btrfs-progs: Improve static building and installation
This commit improves the static-only building of btrfs-progs, and adds
support for installing the static only tools:

 - It now ensures that all programs are built statically, not only a
small subset of them, by defining 'progs_static' from the existing
   'progs' variable.

 - It changes the order of libraries in the btrfs-%.static rule so
that -lpthread (part of STATIC_LIBS) appears *after* the '$($(subst
-,_,$(subst .static,,$@)-libs))' logic, which brings in
-lcom_err. This is needed because libcom_err.a uses the semaphore
functions, which are available in the pthread library.

 - Adds the necessary rules to generate the btrfsck.static link and
   btrfstune.static binary.

 - Adds an 'install-static' target to install the static
binaries. Note that they are renamed to not carry a '.static'
   suffix.

96ec888aad btrfs-progs: add quota group verify code
This patch adds functionality (in qgroup-verify.c) to compute bytecounts in
subvolume quota groups. The original groups are read in and stored in memory
so that after we compute our own bytecounts, we can compare them with those
on disk. A print function is provided to do this comparison and show the
results on the console.

A 'qgroup check' pass is added to btrfsck. If any subvolume quota groups
differ from what we compute, the differences for them are printed. We also
provide an option '--qgroup-report' which will run only the quota check code
and print a report on all quota groups. Other than making it possible to
verify that our qgroup changes work correctly, this mode can also be used in
xfstests for automated checking after qgroup tests.

This patch does not address the following:
- compressed counts are identical to non compressed, because kernel doesn't
make the distinction yet. Adding the code to verify compressed counts
shouldn't be hard at all though once kernel can do this.
- It is only concerned with subvolume quota groups (like most of
  btrfs-progs).

7985fe64e0 Btrfs-progs: add super-recover to recover bad supers
Until now if one of device's first superblock is corrupt, btrfs will
fail to mount. Luckily, btrfs have at least two superblocks for
every disk.

In theory, if silent corrupting happens when we are writting superblocks
into disk, we must hold at least one good superblock.

One side effect is that user must gurantee that the disk must be
a btrfs disk. Otherwise, this tool may destroy other fs.(This is also
reason why btrfs only use first superblock in every disk to mount)

This little program will try to correct bad superblocks from
good superblocks with max generation.

There will be five kinds of return values:

5ac75e2af2 btrfs-progs: get C=1 sparse checking working again
There were a few problems that were breaking sparse checking:

- We were defining CHECK_ENDIAN late in the environment, after
linux/fs.h has been included which defines __force and __bitwise in
confusing ways that conflict with ours. Define it up with __CHECKER__
so that linux/fs.h and our copy are acting on the same input.

- We had manually set a few of gcc's internal defines to give to sparse.
It's easier to just ask gcc for all the defines it sets and hand those
  to sparse.

- We weren't passing the same *FLAGS to sparse as we were to CC.

- glibc has so many errors with FORTIFY turned on that sparse gives up
and doesn't show us any errors from our code. It's a questionable
hack to always turn on FORTIFY ourselves, so we'll just not do that
  when building with sparse.

And add a nice '[SP]' quiet output line for sparse checks.

30d5c8a49f Btrfs-progs: Add chunk recover function - using old chunk items
Add chunk-recover program to check or rebuild chunk tree when the system
chunk array or chunk tree is broken.

Due to the importance of the system chunk array and chunk tree, if one of
them is broken, the whole btrfs will be broken even other data are OK.

But we have some hint(fsid, checksum...) to salvage the old metadata.
So this function will first scan the whole file system and collect the
needed data(chunk/block group/dev extent), and check for the references
between them. If the references are OK, the chunk tree can be rebuilt and
luckily the file system will be mountable.

d93cad2677 Btrfs-progs: add a free space cache checker to fsck V2
In trying to track down a weird tree log problem I wanted to make sure that the
free space cache was actually valid, which we currently have no way of doing.
So this patch adds a bunch of support for the free space cache code and then a
checker to fsck. Basically we go through and if we can actually load the free
space cache then we will walk the extent tree and verify that the free space
cache exactly matches what is in the extent tree. Hopefully this will always be
correct, the only time it wouldn't is if the extent tree is corrupt or we have
some sort of awful bug in the free space cache. Thanks,
